Public Power Corporation

PPC was founded in 1950 and has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 2001. It is the leading electricity generation and supply company in Greece, with activities in the generation, distribution and sale of electricity to consumers. It is the largest electricity supplier in Greece, serving approximately 6 million customers throughout the country.
The PPC Group maintains a total installed generation capacity of 10.4 GW in Greece, with thermal and hydroelectric power plants as well as Renewable Energy Sources (RES) installations both on the mainland and on the islands. In particular, PPC operates 15 main thermal power plants that use lignite, gas and diesel fuel, 6 hydroelectric power plants, 16 photovoltaic power plants and numerous wind farms. The annual turnover is around € 4.7 billion and total assets are € 14.1 billion. The PPC Group employs 13,000 employees and consists of the parent company and the subsidiaries of Hellenic Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO SA) with a Regulated Asset Base of approximately €3 billion, and PPC Renewables SA.
Recently, PPC has expanded its business activities in the field of electric vehicles (EV). PPC is a Charge Point Operator (CPO), operating a network of approximately 1000 EV charging points across Greece. Moreover, PPC is also an e-Mobility Service Provider (EMSP) via the DEI Blue platform. Finally, DEI Blue also provides roaming services via the Gireve network. PPC aims to deploy 10.000 charging points until 2025.
PPC also focuses on the development of new technologies in the areas of RES, energy management, smart grids, e-mobility and cybersecurity. It has a dedicated Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Laboratory, which conducts applied research and development of innovative applications, focusing on the domains of Industrial Networking, Cybersecurity, Smart Grids, and Next-Generation IoT.
